A Word of Caution…
After further analysis of this last weekend’s Marty Lewis Memorial meet, there seems to be a problem. The PSAL has indicated that the 5000m distance was correct at the time of the race, but some coaches seems to disagree.
It looks like almost everyone ran their season best. Not only that, but many runners who competed in the Grand Prix #4 at either Prospect or Cunningham ran much faster at Van cortlandt, by, in some cases, as much as a minute faster. The times at Prospect and Cunningham are both approximately 30 seconds slower than at Van Cortlandt. Whatever the reason, this site’s last rankings may not reflect the actual performances of our athletes at the last meet. Hopefully, the course will be remeasured to determine the actual distance run last Saturday.
