New York City Track and Field

The last boys City-wide rankings are now available to view. If you didn’t already notice, the rankings were skipped last week due to a problem with a “shrinking” xc course. It seems as if the 5000m course is a “little” short. How about somewhere between 150m-200m. A large number of coaches from Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx have confirmed that their athletes may have run less than the stated 5k. In any case, the rankings may have been tainted by incorrect data. After some adjustments, the final rankings are now being posted. There is no question that Stuyvesant and Bronx Science will be battling for the top spot and you can be sure that the 3rd and 4th spots will be hotly contested. Let’s hope that the course can be verified before the running of the City Champs. The Girls rankings will appear soon.
